[openstandaarden] [phm@a2e.de: [ffii] McCarthy wins in JURI]

Geen wonder ik heb in een jaar tijd welgeteld 5 - 8 e-mail berichten 
gekregen over dit onderwerp. En ik krijg in sp.a alle e-mail berichten 
omtrend ICT.
Blijkbaar kunnen ze in de EU een 30 tal mensen laten beslissen over zo'n 
onderwerp zonder dat hier een echt debat wordt gevoerd. Enkel en alleen 
drastische acties kunnen de algemene stemming in September nog doen keren.

Ik heb dan ook op dit moment nog weinig vertrouwen hoe de EU en 
democratie werken.

Eén lichtpuntje als de EU conventie, grondwet er door komt dan kan je 
met 1 miljoen handtekening een wet doen aanvaarden. Bijvoorbeeld 
software patenten mogen niet.

Ik zou zeggen mail iedere politieker journalist omtrend het Software 
patenten probleem.
Niet alleen om openstandaarden te redenen maar ook om alternatieven op 
Microsoft waar te maken. We hebben nog tot ergens in September...
